Description: For three days next February 12 – 14, 2010, some of the most prominent figures in transpersonal psychology around the globe will converge at Menlo College in Atherton, California, to discuss innovative, holistic approaches to psychotherapy, health, healing trauma, social relationships and global consciousness. The 2010 conference, Spirituality in Action: Bringing Transpersonal Psychology to a World in Crisis will offer multidisciplinary and integrative approaches to human potential, self-development, relationship and community that can help alleviate some of the world’s greatest crises.
The 2010 Transpersonal Psychology Conference is co-hosted by the Association for Transpersonal Psychology and the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and will feature presentations, papers, workshops and speakers including: • Charles Tart on “The End of Materialism: How Evidence of the Paranormal Is Bringing Science and Spirit Together” (the title of his most recent book); • Jenny Wade on transcendent sexuality; • Fred Luskin on forgiveness; • Olga Louchakova on understanding the "transpersonal" brain: Neurophenomenological advances; • Ed Bruce Bynum on African spirituality; • Marilyn Mandala Schlitz on transformation and healing; • Dean Radin on consciousness research; and • Donald Rothberg on engaged spirituality.
